Commander Mark Fogg-Elliott, D.S.O., R.N. (30 September, 1898 – 14 May, 1950) served in the Royal Navy. One of two Service Records has his name as "Fogg-Elliot", and seems purposeful about it, having corrected his father's name from "Fogg-Elliott". Have I chosen the right spelling?

Life & Career

The son of private secretary C. Fogg-Elliott, Esq..

Fogg-Elliott served in Albemarle, Hindustan, Royal Sovereign and in Coastal Motor Boats during the war, the latter from August 1917 through January, 1920.[1]

Fogg-Elliott was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 15 October, 1919.[2]

Fogg-Elliott was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant-Commander on 15 October, 1927.[3]

Fogg-Elliott was promoted to the rank of Commander on 30 June, 1934.[4]

He retired on 11 September, 1947.[5]
