Captain (retired) John Mortimer Scott (21 September, 1892 – ) served in the Royal Navy.
Life & Career
Son of a physician and surgeon, Dr. John Scott.
Scott was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 15 August, 1914.
Scott was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant-Commander on 15 August, 1922.
Scott was promoted to the rank of Commander on 31 December, 1927.
Scott was appointed in command of the monitor Terror in April, 1934.
Scott was placed on the Retired List on account of age at the rank of Captain on 21 September, 1942.
