H.M.S. Moorhen was one of two Teal Class river gunboats completed for the Royal Navy. She would serve for thirty-two years in the river waterways of China.
Service
She re-commissioned on 17 October, 1918 and seemingly remained in continuous service until at least early 1933.[5]
She was replaced in service by the new gunboat Sandpiper which was sent to China in sections for reassembly, and commissioned in August, 1933.[6]
