H.M.S. Glorious was completed as a battlecruiser, but converted to an aircraft carrier in the late 1920s.

Service

Commander Charles George Ley Woollcombe, served as her gunnery officer from 1916-1919.

By late 1920, she was a turret drill ship at Devonport.[7]

Paid off to Dockyard Control at Rosyth on 14 February, 1924.[8]

Completed to Full Complement at Devonport on 24 February, 1930 for service in the Mediterranean with no fewer than eight Fleet Air Arm flights embarked under a headquarters unit.[9]

Alterations

Her secondary battery directors were installed in November, 1916, prior to her commissioning.[10]
