Commander (retired) James Gordon Bremer (3 March, 1852 – 6 August, 1918) served in the Royal Navy.

Life & Career

Bremer was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 24 November, 1877.

No blame was found attibutable to Bremer when he grounded Ringdove in July 1895. The Admiralty was, however, displeased by the appearance of the ship at an inspection by R/A Bridge on 3 February, 1896.

Bremer was placed on the Retired List on account of age with the rank of Commander on 3 March, 1897.
