Admiral THE HONOURABLE Stanhope Hawke, Royal Navy, Retired (12 or 16 April, 1863 – 1 February, 1936) was an officer of the Royal Navy.
Early Life & Career
Hawke was promoted to the rank of Commander on 1 January, 1899.[1]
Captain
Hawke was promoted to the rank of Captain on 31 December, 1905.[2]
On 7 December, 1906, Hawke was appointed in command of the cruiser Thetis.[3]
Great War
Hawke was promoted to the rank of Rear-Admiral on 26 April, 1917.[4] He was placed on the Retired List at his own request on 27 April.[5]
Hawke was promoted to the rank of Vice-Admiral on the Retired List on 6 April, 1922.[6]
