Vice-Admiral Julian Charles Allix Wilkinson, Royal Navy, Retired (24 February, 1859 – 13 November, 1916) was an officer of the Royal Navy.
Life & Career
Wilkinson was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 30 June, 1882.[1]
Wilkinson was promoted to the rank of Commander on 1 January, 1895.[2]
Captain
He was promoted to the rank of Captain on 1 January, 1900.[3]
Wilkinson was appointed in command of Thetis on 25 November, 1902. This command would last until mid-1905, but in July 1904, Wilkinson contracted typhoid fever. He was sent to sick quarters in Yokohama to recover, which required Thetis from travel from Wei Hai Wei to pick him up on 9 September.[4]
He was appointed captain of the battleship London from August 1905 until April, 1907.
On 8 April, 1907, he was appointed to President for command of the Western Coast Guard District.[5]

Wilkinson was promoted to the rank of Rear-Admiral on 2 January, 1909, vice Egerton.[6] In accordance with the provisions of the Order in Council of 8 December, 1903, he was placed on the Retired List at his own request on account of ill-health on 18 January, 1911.[7] He was advanced to the rank of Vice-Admiral on the Retired List on 14 September, 1914.[8]
Wilkinson died at 10 Portman Street, London, on 13 November, 1917 at the age of fifty-eight.[9]
