Tall's Engine Room Telegraph, c. 1886[1]
Tall's Engine Room Telegraph was an electrical shipboard transmitter/receiver pair which could convey any of 13 indicators over 3 wires.
It, and a companion Tall's Helm Indicator were derived from Tall's Distance Indicator first seen in 1885.[2]
It was being evaluated alongside other electrical designs in 1886.[3]
