The Pacific Fleet was a formation of the U.S. Navy serving on the Pacific Station.

Institution and Background

It was created in 1907 when the Asiatic Squadron and the Pacific Squadron were combined.

In 1910, the ships of the Fleet's First Squadron were calved into a new, separate Asiatic Fleet.
