Vice-Admiral (retired) Marcel Harcourt Attwood Kelsey, C.B., D.S.C. (21 February, 1894 – ) served in the Royal Navy.
Life & Career
The son of Edward Medic[?] Kelsey, Esq., gentleman.[1]
Kelsey was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 30 April, 1916.[2]
Kelsey was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant-Commander on 30 April, 1924.[3]
Kelsey was promoted to the rank of Commander on 30 June, 1930.[4]
Kelsey was promoted to the rank of Captain on 31 December, 1936.[5]
World War II
Kelsey was appointed in command of the battleship Warspite in March, 1944.[6]
Kelsey was promoted to the rank of Rear-Admiral on 2 January, 1946. He was palced on the Retired List on 15 January, 1949 and promoted to the rank of Vice-Admiral on 20 March, 1949.[7]
