H.M.S. Zephyr was one of nine Ariel Class composite gunboats completed for the Royal Navy.
Service
Re-commissioned at Halifax on 27 September, 187X.[3]
Zephyr was re-commissioned at Hong Kong on 12 December, 1883 under the command of Lieutenant & Commander Charles Kerr Hope for service on the China Station.[4]
