H.M.S. Tiverton was one of one hundred and fourteen Hunt Class minesweepers completed for the Royal Navy.
Service
Tiverton left Pembroke for Portsmouth on 20 October 1919[6] and was then paid off on 25 October, 1919.[7]
In January, 1921, she was at Southampton, one of twenty-eight paid off minesweepers there.[8]
She was commissioned on 22 March, 1927. From at least mid-1927 to at least October 1935, she was working with the First Minesweeping Flotilla.[9][10] Her post-war service would almost entirely be with this formation.
Tiverton was transferred to Dockyard Control at The Nore on 5 February, 1937.[11] By October, 1937, the ship was put up for sale, at which time there were still twenty-three twin screw minesweepers from the Great War still in service.[12]
