Captain John Talbot Savignac Hall, (30 November, 1896 – 21 January, 1964) served in the Royal Naval Reserve before transferring to the Royal Indian Marine in March, 1921.
Life & Career
Hall served in the Merchant Navy before being taken up by the Royal Navy upon reaching age 18.
Hall was logged in the grounding of Zephyr in 1918. He'd been appointed to the ship on 31 December 1917 and would leave her on 30 April, 1919.[1]
After some time in Cæsar, Hall was demobilised on 7 June 1919 and promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 8 August, 1920. His commission was terminated on 16 March 1921 in order that he could transfer to the R.I.M..[2]
