Commander (retired) Philip Robert Thresher, R.N. (5 October, 1878 – 29 November, 1923) served in the Royal Navy.
Life & Career
Born in Winchester, the son of Reverend J. H. Thresher.[1]
Thresher was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 30 June, 1901.[2]
Thresher was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant-Commander on 30 June, 1909.[3]
Thresher was appoined to the second class protected cruiser Talbot on 6 August, 1913. On 4 January 1915 he was made first and gunnery officer. His gunnery duties were cancelled on 14 July 1915.[4]
