H.M.S. Redbreast was one of nine gunboats of the Redbreast class completed around 1890.
Service
She commissioned at Devonport on 27 February, 1890.[3]
Redbreast arrived at Basra under the command of Lt. Hugh Gaultier-Coghill Somerville on Sunday, 15 October, 1905. he would turn her over to Lt. Walter Hose on New Year's Day, 1906.[4]
