Admiral SIR St. George Caulfield D'Arcy-Irvine, K.C.B., Royal Navy (23 May, 1833 – 2 July, 1916) was an officer of the Royal Navy.
Life & Career
D'Arcy-Irvine was promoted to the rank of Captain on 25 October, 1867.
He was appointed an Ordinary Member of the Third Class, or Companion, in the Military Division of the Most Honourable Order of the Bath (C.B.) on 14 August, 1882.[1]
D'Arcy-Irvine was promoted to the rank of Rear-Admiral on 1 June, 1885.
D'Arcy-Irvine was promoted to the rank of Vice-Admiral on 29 January, 1891.
D'Arcy-Irvine was promoted to the rank of Admiral on 23 February, 1897, vice Hunt-Grubbe,[2] and was placed on the Retired List at his own request on 10 May, 1897.
D'Arcy-Irvine was knighted and appointed an Ordinary Member of the Second Class, or Knight Commander, in the Military Division of the Order of the Bath (K.C.B.) on 26 June, 1902.[3]
