Commander Kenneth Leslie Campbell (6 September, 1891 – ) was an officer in the Royal Navy.
Life & Career
Although he apparently passed the qualifying examination for entrance to Royal Naval College, Osborne in the May 1904 term,[1] Campbell's Service Record indicates he entered in the September, 1904 intake term.
Campbell was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 30 August, 1914.[2]
On 30 August, 1912, Campbell was promoted to the rank of Sub-Lieutenant.[3]
Campbell was appointed in command of the destroyer Alarm on 22 November, 1917.[4]
Post-War
Campbell was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant-Commander on 30 August, 1922.[5]
Campbell was placed on the Retired List at his own request with the rank of Commander on 23 October, 1934.[6]
World War II
After 1937, Campbell specialised in boom defence work, and headed up early efforts to secure Malta's dockyard.[7]
