Surgeon Vice-Admiral SIR William Henry Norman, K.C.B., F.R.C.S.Edin., Royal Navy (13 December, 1855 – 16 March, 1934) was an officer of the Royal Navy.
Life & Career
Norman married secondly Lucie Carver, daughter of B. Carver, of Gibraltar, in 1900.
Norman was promoted to the rank of Surgeon-General on 5 June, 1913.[1]
Norman was appointed an Additional Member of the Third Class, or Companion, in the Civil Division of the Most Honourable Order of the Bath (C.B.) on 1 January, 1916.[2]
On 1 January, 1918, Norman was appointed an Additional Member of the Second Class, or Knight Commander, in the Military Division of the Order of the Bath (K.C.B.).[3]
He was placed on the Retired List at his own request on 1 June, 1919.[4]
Lady Norman died at Cullompton on 20 January, 1961.[5]
