Admiral Henry William Grant, C.B., Royal Navy, Retired (24 January, 1870 – 15 April, 1949) was an officer in the Royal Navy.
Life & Career
He was promoted to the rank of Commander dated 31 December, 1902.[1]
He was promoted to the rank of Captain on 31 December, 1907.[2]
He was appointed in command of the battleship Albemarle on 25 August, 1908.[3] He was again appointed to command her on 15 May, 1913.[4]
Grant was appointed Captain in Command of the Portsmouth Navigation School on 1 February, 1910.[5]
He was appointed to command the armoured cruiser Hampshire in January 1914.[6]
Grant was promoted to the rank of Rear-Admiral dated 22 February, 1919, vice Blackett.[7]
He was advanced to the rank of Vice-Admiral on the Retired List on 1 January, 1925,[8] and to Admiral on 27 February, 1929.[9]
