Robert Arthur Hornell, D.S.O. ( – ) was an officer in the Royal Navy.
Life & Career
He was deemed "first class" after attending the War College as a Lieutenant from 12 February - 31 May, 1907, and then joined the Staff College, Camberley, on May 13th.
He was promoted to the rank of Captain on 31 December, 1917.
He was appointed Captain (D) of the Seventh Destroyer Flotilla on 1 October, 1918.[1]
He was appointed command of the light cruiser Orion on 1 April, 1919.[2]
He was appointed command of the battleship Thunderer.
