Lieutenant R.N.R. Claude Bennett Walker, D.S.C., R.N.R. (6 July, 1882 – 18 May, 1918) served in the Royal Naval Reserve.
Life & Career
Walker was born in Deal.
Walker served in {UK-Majestic}} and Recruit early in the war before being appointed to the minelayer Biarritz on 29 May, 1915. He was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant R.N.R. on 2 August, 1915. He left Biarritz when he was appointed in command of the minelayer Perdita on 9 March, 1917.[1]
He died of an illness while in command, on 18 May, 1918.[2]
