H.M.S. Marguerite was one of thirty-six Arabis Class sweeping sloops completed for the Royal Navy.
She transferred to the Royal Australian Navy in 1919, becoming H.M.A.S. Marguerite.

Marguerite commissioned into Australian service on 25 September, 1924.[6]
Paid off into reserve at Sydney on 23 July, 1929.[7]
