H.M. T.B. 51 (1886)
Builder: John I. Thornycroft & Company[1]
Ordered: 30 April/1 May, 1885[2]
Launched: 30 July, 1886[3]
Sold: 1913[4]

H.M. T.B. 51 was one of 53 first-class torpedo boats of the 125 Footer class.

Around 1906-1907, with the issuance of torpedo boat numbers to the first of the Cricket class torpedo boats, the existing Torpedo Boats numbered 25 to 79 had a "0" prepended to their number. This vessel, therefore, became T.B. 051.[5]

Service

In 1895, she was one of thirteen torpedo boats of 125 feet or greater length and four smaller ones stationed at Devonport.[6]
