H.M.S. Shrewsbury was one of one hundred and fourteen Hunt Class minesweepers completed for the Royal Navy.
Service
On 25 July 1919 (1918?), Shrewsbury collided with the minesweeper Gainsborough in Granton Roads. Both captains were found equally to blame.
She paid off at Portsmouth on 15 October, 1919.[7]
In January, 1921, she was at Southampton, one of twenty-eight paid off minesweepers there.[8]
