Captain (retired) Arthur Horatio Shirley, R.N. (25 June, 1854 – 30 November, 1933) served in the Royal Navy.

Life & Career

Shirley was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 7 February, 1880.

Shirley was promoted to the rank of Commander on 30 June, 1895.

Around March 1897, he grounded Decoy.

Shirley was appointed to the Coast Guard at Clifden on 14 September, 1898. He transferred to Kingston at some point to replace Commander King. After several extensions, he was placed on the Retired List on 25 June, 1904 with the rank of Captain (retired).
