Captain Leslie Swain Saunders, D.S.O. (27 June, 1896 – ) served in the Royal Navy.
Life & Career
Saunders joined the navy as part of a special emergency term taken into the Training Establishment in September 1914 and was swiftly appointed to Marlborough on New Year's Day, 1915.
Saunders was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant with a seniority of 15 September, later adjusted to 15 April, 1918.
Saunders was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant-Commander on 15 April, 1926.
Saunders was promoted to the rank of Commander on 30 June, 1932.
Saunders was promoted to the rank of Captain on 31 December, 1937.
World War II
Saunders was placed on the Retired List on 8 January, 1947.
