Commander (retired) Arthur Millington Roberts, D.S.O., R.N. (1 December, 1886 – ) was an officer in the Royal Navy.

Life & Career

The son of Reverend G. E. Roberts was probably born in Nova Scotia.

Roberts was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 30 June, 1909.

On 23 October 1910, he was stricken with enteric fever so badly that daily reports were called for. By the 27th, the crisis had passed.

Roberts was appointed in command of the destroyer Jackal on 21 April, 1917.[1]

Roberts was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant-Commander on 30 June, 1917.

On 1 April, 1919, Roberts was lent to the Royal Australian Navy and appointed in command of the destroyer Tattoo.[2]

Roberts reverted to R.N. service on 4 February, 1922.

Roberts was placed on the Retired List at his own request at the rank of Commander on 2 February, 1927.
