Lieutenant Frank Conway Peet, R.N. (30 August, 1891 – 31 October, 1918) served in the Royal Navy.
Life & Career
The son of Arthur W. Peet, Esq., retired Conservator of the Indian Forest Service.
Peet served in Invincible from February 1913 until being appointed to Centurion on 22 August, 1913.
Promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 15 January, 1914, Peet continued to serve in Centurion through the Battle of Jutland. On 25 June, 1916 he was ordered to report to the Admiralty.
On 5 July, he was appointed to the Acasta. He served in her just over a year when he received his first command appointment in P18 on 16 August, 1917.
Peet commanded two destroyers until being appointed to join Rocket on 21 October, 1918. He died of pneumonia following influenza just ten days later.
