Commander (retired) Francis Reginald Openshaw, R.N. (28 September, 1886 – ) served in the Royal Navy.

Life & Career

Born in Clifton, the son of Lieutenant Colonel Openshaw.

Openshaw was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 30 June, 1908.

Openshaw was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant-Commander on 30 June, 1916.

Post-War

Openshaw was appointed in command of the fishery protection trawler Dee from 30 November 1923 to 1 December, 1925.

Openshaw was placed on the Retired List at his own request at the rank of Commander on 5 March, 1927.
