Rear-Admiral SIR Edward Fitzmaurice Inglefield, K.B.E., Royal Navy, Retired (10 April, 1861 – 19 July, 1945) was an officer of the Royal Navy.
Early Life & Career
Edward Fitzmaurice Inglefield was born on 10 April, 1861, the youngest son of Admiral Sir Edward Augustus Inglefield, commander of the Arctic relief expedition of 1853. He was a cousin of Frederick Samuel Inglefield (later Admiral Sir Frederick Inglefield).
He was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant with seniority of 29 June, 1883.[1]
He was appointed Flag Lieutenant to Rear-Admiral St. G. C. D'Arcy Irvine on 1 September, 1888.[2]
Inglefield was promoted to the rank of Commander on 30 June, 1895, aged thirty-four years, two months, and twenty days.[3]
He was appointed in command of the Achilles on 16 April, 1901, ending on 31 May, 1901.[4]

He was appointed in command of the armoured cruiser Antrim on 24 June, 1905.[6]
He was advanced to the rank of Rear-Admiral on the Retired List on 6 March, 1911.[7]
