Commander Frank Clutton Husband-Clutton, (6 August, 1897 – ) served in the Royal Navy. Prior to 28 September, 1921, his name was Frank Clutton Husband.
Life & Career
Husband was a special entry to the Training Establishment. He passed out on 1 April, 1916 and was appointed to the battleship Centurion on the 15th, but just a week later was appointed to Warspite, in which he would remain until 6 January 1918, fighting in the Battle of Jutland. In 1918, he served in a "P" patrol boat, perhaps P20 or P24.[1]
Husband was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 30 June, 1919.[2]
Husband-Clutton was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant-Commander on 30 June, 1927.[3]
World War II
Husband-Clutton was placed on the Retired List on account of age at the rank of Commander on 6 August, 1942. He continued to serve, primarily being involved in Boom Defence operations at Rosyth and Suez.[4]
He was placed on the Retired List on 28 July, 1946.
