Commander (emergency) Rowland Etienne Sinclair Hugonin, D.S.C.* (14 November, 1900 – ) served in the Royal Navy.
Life & Career
The son of a solicitor, Hugonin passed out of the Training Establishment in May 1917 and served in the battlecruiser Indomitable through the end of the war.[1]
Hugonin was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 15 June, 1922.[2]
He was transferred to the Emergency List 27 November, 1929.[3]
Hugonin was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant-Commander (emergency) on 15 June, 1930.[4]
World War II
Suffering from chronic anxiety, Hugonin was transferred to the Emergency List as medically unfit on 18 April, 1945. He was promoted to the rank of Commander (emergency) on 3 September, 1945.[5]
