Life & Career

Firth was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 15 April, 1922.[1]

Firth was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant-Commander on 15 April, 1930.[2]

Firth was promoted to the rank of Commander on 30 June, 1935.[3]

World War II

Firth was promoted to the rank of Captain on 30 June, 1941.[4]

He was Deputy in charge of Radio Direction Finding for at least part of the 1941-1943 period.[5]
