Captain Ernest William Denison, Sixth Baron Londesborough, R.N. (9 August, 1876 – 1963) was an officer in the Royal Navy.
Life & Career
The son of Rear Admiral the Honourable A. Denison.
Denison was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 30 September, 1898.
In 1909, Denison was awarded the Royal Humane Society's Bronze Medal for saving life from drowning.[1]
Denison was promoted to the rank of Commander on 31 December, 1910.[2]
Denison was promoted to the rank of Captain on 31 December, 1916. In February, he was placed in command of Bellona.
Post-War
Denison was appointed in command of the light cruiser Undaunted on 13 November, 1918.[3]
He was appointed in command of battlecruiser Inflexible on 15 March, 1919.[4]
Denison retired at his own request on 6 March 1923.
Denison succeeded to the title of Baron Londesborough in 1937.
