Commander Henry Venour Coates, R.N., Retired (18 February, 1882 – ) served in the Royal Navy.

Life & Career

Born in Earl's Croome[?], his father was Reverend George H. A. Coates.

Coates was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 31 March, 1904.

Coates was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant-Commander on 31 March, 1912.

Post-War

Coates was placed on the Retired List at his own request with the rank of Commander on 27 March, 1923.
