Vice-Admiral Eric George Anderson Clifford, C.B., C.B.E., K.C.B. (3 September, 1900 – 7 September, 1964) served in the Royal Naval Reserve and the Royal Navy.
Life & Career
Clifford served in the Great War in Iron Duke, Nugent and Colossus. He transferred to the Royal Navy in perhaps in March, 1918.
Clifford was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 15 August, 1921.
Clifford was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant-Commander on 15 August, 1929.
Clifford was promoted to the rank of Commander on 30 June, 1935.
World War II
Clifford was promoted to the rank of Captain on 31 December, 1944.
Clifford was promoted to the rank of Rear-Admiral on 8 January, 1951.
Clifford was promoted to the rank of Vice-Admiral on 1 April, 1954.
