Commander (retired) John Hermann Brougham, D.S.C. (5 June, 1890 – ) served in the Royal Navy.
Life & Career
The son of H. W. Brougham, Esq..
Brougham was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 15 June, 1911. First Lt. in Ariel from 7 February, 1914 to 15 January, 1915. He had previously served in the ship as first officer in late 1913.
Following an incredibly long Torpedo Control course at H.M.S. Excellent and some time on the staff of the Captain Superintendent, Tyne, he was appointed to the monitor Marshal Soult on 2 October, 1915.
Brougham was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant-Commander on 15 June, 1919.
Brougham was promoted to the rank of Commander on 12 December, 1932.
