Commander Reginald Orme Brenton Carey Brenton, (22 December, 1848 – 21 April, 1921) served in the Royal Navy. His Service Record has him as Reginald Orme Brenton Carey-Brenton.
Life & Career
Brenton must have been a fearless man. He earned the Royal Humane Society's Silver Medal in 1869 as a Sub-Lieutenant, and added a clasp to the award in 1872.[1]
Brenton was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 3 September, 1872.[2]
Incredibly, Brenton was awarded a second clasp to his R.H.S. Silver Medal in 1876.[3]
Brenton was promoted to the rank of Commander on 30 June, 1886.[4]
He resigned the service on 30 November, 1891.[5]
