Lieutenant Commander John Michael Bermingham, (5 July, 1905 – 19 February, 1942) served in the United States Navy.
Life & Career
Bermingham was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant Commander on 6 January, 1942.
Bermingham would be killed when his command, the destroyer Peary was bombed and sunk in early 1942. A destroyer escort would be named for him the following year.
