Captain Francis Baker Favell, R.N., Retired (13 September, 1879 – ) served in the Royal Navy.
Life & Career
The son of a civil engineer, Favell was born in Whitley. His younger brother Ernest Torre Favell would also serve in the Royal Navy, and die in H.M.S. Pathfinder in September, 1914.
Francis Favell was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 31 December, 1901.
Favell was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant-Commander on 31 December, 1909.
Favell was promoted to the rank of Commander on 31 December, 1914.
Post-War
Favell was placed on the Retired List at his own request with the rank of Captain on 19 May, 1926.
