Captain R.N.R. (retired) Frank Horsford Chester, R.D. (19 October, 1885 – ) was an officer in the Royal Naval Reserve.
Life & Career
Chester was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant R.N.R. on 2 August, 1915.[1]
Chester was appointed in command of the destroyer Bonetta on 7 December, 1917.[2] He grounded her in 1918 and was cautioned to be more careful in future.[3]
Demobilised 12 September, 1919.[4]
Chester was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant-Commander R.N.R. on 2 August, 1923.[5]
World War II
Chester reported himself able to serve in 1948 as he was in "good health and active." He was then employed managing stevedores at Cheshire.[6]
