Service
Thunderer was commissioned at Malta on 26 April, 1883 for service in the Mediterranean.
Commissioned at Portsmouth on 17 March, 1891.[6]
She was brought to full complement to participate in the Annual Manoeuvres of 1896 under the command of Captain Herbert William Sumner Gibson.[7][8][9]
