H.M. T.B. 67 (1885) | |
---|---|
Builder: | Yarrow & Company[1] |
Ordered: | 30/31 March, 1885[2] |
Launched: | 1885[3] |
Completed: | August 1886[4] |
Sold: | 27 January, 1920[5] |
H.M. T.B. 67 was one of 53 first-class torpedo boats of the 125 Footer class.
Service
Paid off after the Annual Manoeuvres of 1893 on 19 August, 1893.[6]
T.B. 67 was commissioned on 18 July to participate in the Annual Manoeuvres of 1894 as leader of the Milford Haven Division (three T.Bs.) of the Blue Side.[7]
She was stationed in Chatham in 1895 as one of eight large torpedo boats of at least 125 feet length and two smaller ones.[8]
She commissioned on 8 July to participate in the Annual Manoeuvres of 1896.[9]
She was placed into Dockyard Reserve at Chatham. In mid-1901, she was to be fitted with Thornycroft water-tube boilers, manufactured at the dockyard.[10]
Around 1906-1907, with the issuance of torpedo boat numbers to the first of the Cricket class torpedo boats, the existing Torpedo Boats numbered 25 to 79 had a "0" prepended to their number. This vessel, therefore, became T.B. 067.[11]
Sold to Willoughby, Plymouth for scrapping on 27 January, 1920.[12]
