U.S.S. Princeton was one of four Annapolis Class gunboats completed for the U.S. Navy.

Service

Princeton was commissioned on 27 May, 1898 at Philadelphia with Commander Clifford H. West in command.

By 1900, she was serving on the Asiatic Station.[9]
