Admiral Henry Rose, Royal Navy, Retired (10 February, 1844 – 21 October, 1928) was an officer of the Royal Navy.
Life & Career
Rose was promoted to Lieutenant on 31 August, 1864.
He was promoted to the rank of Commander on 31 December, 1875.
Promoted to Captain on 29 June, 1883, Rose was appointed to command the ironclad Triumph, a ship he had served on in the late 1870s, on 1 January, 1885.[1]
Rose was promoted to the rank of Rear-Admiral on 29 November, 1898, vice Bridge.[2] He was promoted to the rank of Vice-Admiral on 6 August, 1903, vice Buckle.[3] In accordance with the provisions of the Order in Council of 4 December, 1878, he was placed on the Retired List on 10 February, 1904.[4]
Rose was advanced to the rank of Admiral on the Retired List on 1 March, 1907.[5]
