Captain (retired) Lionel Henry St. Croix Coxon, R.N. (14 September, 1858 – 26 May, 1929) served in the Royal Navy.

Life & Career

In July, 1871, Coxon was eighteenth-ranked of twenty candidates who passed the entrance examinations, but who were not amongst the thirty-five taken in. He was told he was welcome to try again in the coming November testing cycle.[1]

Coxon was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 29 June, 1883.

Coxon was promoted to the rank of Commander on 31 December, 1898.

Coxon was promoted to the rank of Captain (retired) on 31 December, 1913.

Coxon altered his last name to "Cary" by Royal Warrant in 1917.
