Rear-Admiral Robert Hornby Boyle, Royal Navy (11 October, 1840 – 12 June, 1892) was an officer of the Royal Navy.
Life & Career
Boyle commanded the turret ship Ajax in the Annual Manoeuvres of 1890, his ship acting as part of Fleet Number 2 which represented a hypothetical Hostile Fleet attacking British trade routes.[1]
Boyle was appointed a Naval Aide-de-Camp to the Queen dated 4 August, 1890, vice Stephenson.[2]
Boyle was promoted to the rank of Rear-Admiral on 20 February, 1892, vice Sulivan.[3] He died at Upper Berkeley Street, London, on 12 June.[4]
