U.S.S. Sylvia was a yacht purchased by the U.S. Navy in 1898 for service in the Spanish-American War.
Construction
Service
After the end of hostilities Sylvia was placed out of commission and loaned to the Maryland, Pennsylvania, and District of Columbia Naval Militias between 1898 and 1917.[7]
Slyvia was stricken on 24 April, 1919 and sold into mercantile service on 20 October, 1921.[8]
