S.M.S. Y was a torpedo boat completed for the Imperial German Navy in 1885.
Construction
Y was a typical Yarrow & Company torpedo boat, and was launched at their Chiswick shipyard on 12 May, 1884.[8]
Service
Y was commissioned for experimental duties on 8 May, 1885 and subsequently served as a harbor torpedo boat as well. She was stricken on 30 January, 1899, sold the next year, and broken up at Hamburg.[9]
