Lieutenant-Commander Harold Needham Key, R.N. (5 March, 1879 – 27 January, 1940) served in the Royal Navy.
Life & Career
Key was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 30 June, 1901.
Key was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant-Commander on 30 June, 1909.
Key was appointed to Ariadne as first officer on 22 January, 1913. Captain Charles H. Morgan wrote of Key upon leaving the ship in December 1913 that his first officer was, "[n]ot untrustworthy, but undoubtedly accustomed to consume an abnormal amount of alcohol."
Placed on the Retired List at his own request on 16 July, 1920.
